Description
Chalet Maia’s cheery ambiance and luxe amenities create a welcoming retreat to return home to after an exhilarating day in the mountains. Nestling into the mountainside above the village of Lech, you can ski straight out into one of the best ski areas in the Alps. Pale timbered walls, the cool, muted tones of the soft furnishings and the nods to rustic alpine design throughout the chalet create a superbly homely atmosphere. Meanwhile, the spa is all state-of-the-art, with a beautiful indoor pool area, sauna and treatment room. Or head outside to enjoy the rooftop hot tub with some serious mountain views. After you’ve soothed tired muscles in the spa, retire to the generous lounge with feature fireplace. Here, doors out to the balcony reveal more magnificent mountain panoramas. Close by, bar stools and bench seating surround the bar and there’s a ten-seat dining table. This open-plan living
space makes for social après ski entertaining. Or, if you need some quiet space, you’ll find it in the cosy snug, library area or office space.
The six beautiful bedrooms continue the soft muted tones with country chic décor and crisp linens. One of the four double rooms offers the option to connect to the smaller bunk room, plus there’s a separate four-berth bunk room with curtained bunks. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom featuring serene pale timbers and natural travertine tiles.
Chalet Maia is a wonderful family-friendly option with some impressive amenities and a warm and welcoming ambiance. Located in one of the best ski areas in the Alps, you have 305km of varied pistes on your doorstep and the delights of the mountain villages of Lech and Oberlech within easy reach.
